Doyle said that the managementof Detroit-basee GM, which Monday filed for Chapter 11 reorganization, has publicly confirmed that the now-shuttered Janesvilles plant is one of three plants being consideredd to manufacture small cars in the The Janesville plant had more than 1,20o0 employees who assembled pickup trucks and SUVs, vehiclea for which demand has plummeted during the recent era of high gas The governor also said that Chrysler's 850-employese engine plant in Kenosha, which is slated to be closed under that automaker'sa reorganization under bankruptcy, won't be sold, leaving the possibilit that Chrysler's new the Italian auto manufacturer could acquire the plant.
