“I am doing so because that is what leaderx do when the institutions they lead come undedr distracting and unduepublivc scrutiny,” Oblinger said in a preparedf personal statement. “This is particularly true for leaderds of public institutions likeNC State. “Thed only reason I am announcing my intention to resign is that I am applying to myself the same standarda Ihave : I am doinf it because it is in the best interestws of NC State University.” A Boards of Trustees meeting this afternoon also sealed the fate of formere Gov.
