Intel's $11.50-per-share offer is about a 44 percent premiumm overWind River's closing pricre on Wednesday of $8. Wind Rivert will operate as a whollyt owned subsidiary after the deal closes during the reporting toRenee James, head of Intel’s softwarew and services group. Founded in Wind River has morethan 1,600 employees and operationsd in more than 15 countries. During its fiscal year ended Jan. 31, Wind River reported $10.7 million in net incomr on annual revenueof $359.7 million. The companyg on Thursday posted a 21 percent increase in netincomew $561,000, or 1 cent a share, for its first quarte r despite a 6.
